The Therapeutics Program within the Center for Computational and Integrative Biology at Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking a motivated individual to work in the area of therapeutic protein discovery and engineering, molecular cell biology and immunology. The candidate will work in a highly collaborative, translational research group working at the interface of chemistry, biology, and therapeutic development.

Characteristic Duties
• Generate, characterize and improve novel cell-targeting moieties, including monoclonal antibodies
• Design new protein therapeutics
• Develop animal models for various diseases
• Interact with external vendors for various services, such as antibody development and, synthesis of specialty chemicals and small molecule therapeutics
• Provide analysis of results to support the generation of publications and patents

Job Requirements
• Bachelors or a higher degree required in molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, biological or related sciences
• A minimum of 3 years of training or equivalent required
• Experience with lab animals preferred but not necessary
• Proficiency in molecular biology, recombinant protein expression, purification, and analysis
• Broad knowledge in bacterial expression systems
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to work in interdisciplinary team settings
• Superior organizational skills
• High computer literacy enabling the use of electronic notebooks, online databases and communication tools.
