Important Note: Your lab manager may have negotiated special discounts with vendors where a quote needs to be referenced. These orders need to be done through the Special Request tab in eProcurement and you will have to both reference the quote number in the comments field and upload the quote into your shopping cart. Failure to do both actions may result in your not receiving the discounted price.
The Simches Stockroom
The Facilities group operates a number of stockrooms in the Simches building. Here a lot of general lab supplies, enzymes and kits are stocked. To use the stockroom, there is a touch-screen system that can be accessed with a stockroom username and password. To get your username and password, please see Carol Ann Hartnett hartnett@molbio.mgh.harvard.edu.
The computer system in the stockroom automatically charges your assigned grant number and the monthly invoices are sent to your PI and/or lab manager. DNA Sequencing
Our preferred vendor for sequencing is the MGH DNA Sequencing Core. Information about prices, services and setting up an account are available here:

There is a refrigerator by the Simches seventh-floor elevators where you can drop off your samples. Be sure to label all tubes and secure your order form to the provided box. Samples are picked up Monday-Friday by 11am. You can check your order status on the website, and most results will come back to you in 24 hours.
