  Yuan-Di Halvorsen Clinical Project Leader

Interests

Dr. Halvorsen co-founded two biotech companies with platform technologies in cell-based therapies and target identification processes using primary human adipose stromal cells. She was instrumental in building a GMP facility to manufacture human primary cells for tissue repair. Recently she has focused on clinical research for oncology, and has directed a number of human phase I and multi-center phase II clinical trials.

I have been a nurse at MGH for 27 years. I did clinical trials with our Rheumatology Department for five years and have worked with anticoagulation management for the last 9+ years. I feel both of these experiences will be of value for my current study work.

I was in the biotech sector for eight years as a project leader and senior scientist prior to joining MGH.   I am trained as a toxicologist and my background includes disease model development and small molecule discovery for neurological diseases.  My work in the Translational Medicine Group focuses on preclinical development of drug candidates and biomaterials.
