The DNA Synthesis Lab, located at 38 Sidney Street in Cambridge, serves the research community with custom oligonucleotides. The lab is capable of high-throughput standard, degenerate and modified oligo synthesis.

Currently, we utilize a MerMadeV 4-plate synthesizer and Expedite 8900 with MOSS attachment. The MerMadeV is capable of synthesizing 384 oligos per day (4x96-well plate), while the Expedite 8900 is used to synthesize individual modified oligos. Quality control is accomplished using capillary electrophoresis and optical density readings, via a Combisep MCE 2000 and SpectraMax Plus, respectively.
