DNA Sequencing Core
The DNA Sequencing Core at the Massachusetts General
Hospital, located at 38 Sidney Street in Cambridge, functions both as
a small-scale sequencing facility and a high-throughput center for large-scale
sequencing projects. In order to accomodate the needs of the MGH community,
there are four staff members who maintain operations seven days a week. The Center is capable of sequencing and analyzing thousands of samples
each day with the 3730 DNA sequencers. With the introduction of a new
automated submission system, we are capable of providing a turnaround
time of 24 to 48 hours for final sequencing data once samples are received.
The MGH Sequencing Core is a facility that serves the sequencing needs
of molecular biology, the MGH-BWH Partners community, and outside academic
and biotech institutions. |
